Who was Granny Garbutt ?
Granny Garbutt is our very own Gin loving Granny who inspired us to make this Gin. Born in 1901 on the North Yorkshire moors, she had a colourful personality and loved to socialise which often led to mischief, much frowned upon in those days. A fun loving, much talked about lady, which is why we all loved her!

All about the Gin
Distilled using a 'one shot' method in our traditional copper still, 'Isabelle' , this refined small batch gin combines fourteen botanicals making it both elegant and well balanced, in keeping with Granny Garbutt's moorland roots. Some moorland botanicals are foraged locally including heather and gorse flower. A traditional gin made the old fashioned way.

The Taste Test
Specific botanicals have been carefully selected, such as marigold flowers and hibiscus to enhance it's delicate floral tones. A background of Macedonian juniper, English coriander, Angelica & Orris root, infused with locally picked Gorse Flowers, Marigold, Hibiscus and Heather. The result is a smooth, modest yet outstanding drinking experience.
The unique blend of botanicals chosen by our distillers gives this moorish gin a smooth finish with delicate floral tones. Sweet notes are produced from the locally sourced Dartmoor wildflower organic honey.
The perfect serve
Granny Garbutt's Gin is best served with a slice of grapefruit and a regular Fevertree or Luscombe tonic. For a long refreshing G&T we recommend strawberries and blueberries: Top Tip, slice the strawberries and blueberries to let out the flavours into the gin. Experiment to find your perfect serve.
A big part of perfecting the blend was to taste test with friends, family and knowledgeable gin drinkers to get us to our finished product.
